The medic stays in the back of the unit with the squad leader in front, so that he is the last to die and can revive others whom have fallen. If you die, your squad is supposed to have a medic. Each squad should have a goal in mind, whether it is to scout, capture, blow the radio tower, or take the side missions, and you should inform the chopper pilot of when to leave so that your entire squad can be inside of the helicopter when you leave. Squads should move, generally, independent of each other rather than bunching up, although the squads can communicate and bunch up together if they want. WIth this format, you have a command structure and a squad leader that you follow and take orders from. Very often people move forward in the base by way of pack mentality when they are in these unorganized groups of people. It's so very often that I see random jumbles of different squads clustered together in a group that is at best a mess of people yelling in the side channel and it can be so much more coordinated and better. Squads will have a designated leader and should move out together, as a squad. The team should always move out by making use of the group chat feature to communicate with your squadmates. When you select a squad, you shouldn't just be looking for the class you would really like to play you should be selecting the squad you want to play with. When you sign up for a class in invade and annex, you're signing up to be in a squad.
